Common questions
- A YouTube link on last year's worksheet is dead. Do we reprint?
- No. The QR code on the sheet encodes a short URL that never changes. Edit the destination in your dashboard and the same printed worksheet opens the new video from the next scan onward.
- Can we generate codes for a whole set of worksheets at once?
- Yes. Switch the chapter form to range mode, set a start and end number and a label prefix, and QRoute creates one code per sheet in a single pass. Export the whole set as a print-ready PDF grid for the school printer.
- Do students need an app or a login to scan?
- No. Any phone or tablet camera opens the resource directly in the browser. There is no app to install and no account to create, which matters when a class has thirty different devices.
- Is it safe to put scannable codes in front of children?
- Destinations are validated against a safe-protocol allowlist, so a code cannot be pointed at a javascript: or data: URL. Unknown or cross-tenant routes return a generic 404, and only members you invite with an editor role can change where a code goes.
- Can different teachers manage their own subjects?
- Yes. Invite staff with roles — editors create and edit codes, analysts see the numbers, viewers get read-only access. Every sensitive change is recorded in an audit log.
- Will codes still scan quickly on school Wi-Fi?
- The redirect path is deliberately minimal and served from the edge, with a target of under 150 ms at p95 excluding the destination's own load time. Analytics are recorded asynchronously, so a slow analytics write never delays a student's scan.
- Can one worksheet serve Hindi and English sections?
- Yes. Verify two domains and route the same slug differently on each. Print the Hindi section's sheets with one domain and the English section's with the other — one set of codes, two languages.
