When you need bulk QR generation
Any scenario that involves a large number of related but distinct QR codes is a bulk generation use case. Common examples:
- A school with 12 textbooks, 40 chapters each — 480 QR codes
- A conference with 800 badge QR codes linking to each attendee's profile
- A brand with 150 store locations, each needing a unique feedback QR
- A restaurant chain with 40 branches and 10 tables each — 400 menu codes
The CSV format
Prepare a spreadsheet with these columns: name, destination, project, tags, fallback_url (optional). One row = one QR code. Export as CSV and upload to the QRoute Bulk Generator.
What happens during import
- QRoute validates every destination URL against the safe-protocol allowlist. Rows with invalid URLs are flagged before any codes are created.
- Each valid row creates a dynamic QR code in the specified project.
- Codes inherit the project's default design, domain, and routing rules — but you can override per-row.
- A single PDF export contains all codes, labelled by name, with print-ready sizing and bleed marks.
Organising with the book hierarchy
For publishers and schools, import directly into a book structure. Map your CSV columns to Book, Edition, and Chapter, and QRoute organises every code automatically — so finding and updating "Chapter 7, Edition 3" takes seconds, not minutes of scrolling.
Automated decode verification
After batch generation, QRoute runs an automated decode test on a sample of generated codes. If any code fails the decode check (wrong error-correction level, logo too large), you're alerted before the PDF is sent to print.
Re-run a batch without duplicating
Need to update destinations for a subset of codes? Export the existing codes as CSV, modify the destination column for the affected rows, and re-import with the "update existing" flag. Codes retain their slugs and printed QR patterns — only the destination changes.
